Community Scholars Collaborative for Health Equity Solutions (CHES) is sponsoring “Advancing Health Equity in an Environment of Hate Violence and COVID’s Web of Impact” with speaker Rod Lew, MPH on April 27, 2021.

Rod Lew is the Founder and Executive Director of Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment, Advocacy and Leadership (APPEAL), a national non-profit organization created in 1994 to advance health justice issues for Asian Americans (AAs) and Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (NHPIs). Rod has over 30 years of experience in developing national models on cross cultural leadership, capacity building, community- based research, strategic planning, health equity and policy change on commercial tobacco, food, active living and the opioids epidemic.
