Subject: Help for COVID-affected families in India

Dear MPH Family,

COVID-affected families in India are in dire need of food assistance. The Institute for Indian Mother and Child (IIMC), could use the support of our MPH Program by sponsoring a family for one week or more. We have created a USC/IIMC MPH Program Family Sponsorship Program, where your $24 contribution would buy a family one package of food and essential materials for one week.

The Institute for Indian Mother and Child (IIMC) is a nongovernmental health care organization based in West Bengal, India https://iimcmissioncal.org/. Under the leadership of Dr. Sujit Brahmochary, IIMC is a one-of-its kind health care organization that works for the empowerment of the poor, with a focus on mothers and children, whose goals are to improve health, child wellbeing, education, and economic support.

The USC MPH Program has developed a close working relationship with IIMC, and our students have participated in health-focused practicum projects with this agency in the past. Given the COVID-19 crisis in India, IIMC is serving an abundance of COVID-affected families in dire need of food assistance.

If you can donate, please Venmo me (@RPark17) by May 31, 2021, and I will make one contribution on behalf of our program to IIMC. Please make sure to enter “IIMC” in the “What’s it for?” section when you complete your Venmo transaction.

If you have any questions email me anytime!
