On October 16, 2024, the event “Feria de Salud y Recursos – Vístete de Rosa” was held at the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles, with around 200 attendees. USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center actively participated, providing information on general cancer awareness. A total of 63 individuals stopped by the USC Norris table.

Key staff members involved included Wendy Pech, representing the Lazarex Program, and Bianca Rosales, representing the CoGENES program, who actively recruited participants.

The event fostered new partnerships and connections with the community, further expanding outreach efforts. Additionally, Karen Gonzalez, a medical intern, assisted during the event. Bianca Rosales had the opportunity to meet Carlos Gonzalez Gutierrez, the Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles, marking a significant connection.

The outreach event was a success, helping to raise awareness and foster engagement with new audiences.
