CenHealth’s director, Dr. Lourdes Baezconde-Garbanati will be presenting at the upcoming 12th Annual Puerto Rico Oncology Symposium to be held in person at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino, February 3-4, 2023.
Dr. Baezconde-Garbanati will be speaking on “Addressing Cancer Disparities in Hispanic Communities.” This session will provide valuable information on innovations in cancer education for Hispanic cancer patients and their families. Model programs are presented for dissemination through clinics, hospitals, and the community focusing on cancer prevention and control. The session presents creative solutions and research findings from cutting-edge transformative research, health education campaigns, and pioneering partnerships in Medicine, Public Health, Art, Cinema, and Communication.
