Jane Steinberg, Ph.D., M.P.H.
Jane Steinberg PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Preventive Medicine at the Institute for Prevention Research (IPR) within the Department of Preventive Medicine, USC. She also serves as the Director of Public Health Practice in the MPH Program. Her research interests focus on health disparities, adolescent health, tobacco control, and cannabis regulation in public health. Current projects include: 1) a grant from the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program, University of California, to study associations between proximity to cannabis retailers/dispensaries and adolescent cannabis use; and 2) a grant from the California Tobacco Control Program, as part of the Hispanic Latino Coordinating Center, a Statewide program that supports the adoption, implementation and impact of tobacco policy and system change campaigns conducted by projects that were funded under this program to engage the Latinx community in this work. Dr. Steinberg received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and her MPH and PhD in Community Health Sciences from the University California, Los Angeles
